Capition Competition 2007-08 Round Two Results

The new format has given the competition a fresh look and the quality of entrants certainly seems to have gone up or certainly this week!

Stevelum09 retains top spot despite not making the extra points group and is ahead of Tiltholm_Tigers on alphabetical order only after the resident Dull City fan topped this weeks efforts with an entry of "It suddenly dawns on McLaren that giving Crest the kit contract wasn't one of his best decisions" was deemed the best effort of this week.

An encouraging and successful return to the competition for Gino. The 2005-06 winner and original caption king had missed much of last season and gave up the chance to defend his title with a whimper. Will he stick around this year and try and claim a second title.

Uninspiring start for last year's champion Blockheads as he has failed to make the extra points elite in both rounds. He will not worry as he came up on the rails at the end of last season to sneak the title but he will not have the double rounds to rely on so unless he makes a move soon he will have to use his doublers and halvers very wisely.

Timeforale is as enthusiastic as they come with this competition. That's why it would be nice to see him be successful. Unfortunately he is not as funny as he thinks he is and another average effort sees him off the pace!

Millerkev, Symon, Herbie and Masta_2009 all used on of their two doublers on this round and all can be declared a waste as none of their efforts were deemed funny enough to make the points. So they only get two points which will surely disappoint them all.

UFO clearly remembered her weekly chores this week as she did not have time to enter. She now lies bottom of the table further proof as if it was needed that women just cannot hack it in a world of male comedy!
