Gaz should not be too disappointed though as he only just missed out on doubles and will know that failure for anybody in the top five to miss out on doubles in round 20 will mean curtains. If anything this year's competition has proved that the whole tournament will come down who scores best in the remaining five double rounds.
In fact it was only Gaz in the top seven that failed to score doubles and as a result he drops down to fourth place movinf below Stevelmu09, who continues to be as consistent as ever and Skipton_Bulldog who recorded a mammoth score of 17.5 and thus claims his second weekly win. His effort of "Right lads, pull the stingray out of his chest" was touted as an early winner by some users and they were proved right as all the judges scored this effort very highly.
Pre season favourite Blockheads is beginning to put his early season wobble behind him and is putting a tidy little run together and has closed the gap further with his capture of doubles. No more real ground can be made up until Round 20 though unless we have a no show!
Attention seeking Timeforale is desperate for his name to be up in lights, so here's his two minutes of fame. Timeforale had a disasterous start in the competition despite being the self proclaimed funny man. However, give him credit he is also beginning to put a string of decent scores together and has now broken through in to the top ten. Other mentions for in form entrants go to PWEI, St_Verana, Syracuse and last year's runner up Masta_2009 who is also on the move up the table after a thoroughly embarrassing opening few rounds.
Andy_The_Miller's desperate and sickening attempts to gain double points came to nothing as he just missed out as did Jefflebowksi, inRtsc, deano and bigladonos.
No surpise who else missed on double points. Well it is doubles? It's markthemiller! In recent weeks we have gone on record in this item saying Mark's mental health is on the rise. It appears that this is an unfounded statement following Mark's insistence that he should be on more points than he actually is. We don't care how many weeks you enter, if you bottle it every time the double rounds come then you're not going to have that many points! Mark should be coming to terms with his inability to perform under pressure so hopefully the Samaritans can knock off early this cold Friday evening, but probably best to keep one back.
Seems like UFO has been concentrating on her washing up as she got nowhere near doubles just like every other time. In fact she didn't even get anywhere near making the judges laugh. But you have to admire the fact that she knows where the kitchen is and also the fact that she's funnier than S60 2RX!
