McDermid has been on the league list for the past 2 years having previously run the line since the start of the 03/04 campaign.
This is only his second game in charge of Rotherham, ironically the first was almost a year ago to the day this weekend in the 2-0 defeat at Cheltenham Town, when he booked five players including Ian Sharps and former player Martin Woods.
This year he's been charged with bringing the game into disrepute after dismissing Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford in Leeds' game at Gillingham, and having crossed words with Denis Wise which some of you may remember.....should be interesting then.
His assistants will be M. Brown (East Yorks) and J. Waugh (South Yorks)
