David started working his way through local leagues in his native North East and served just one year as an assistant referee before being promoted to the National List of Referees in 2008.
In April 2009 he was England representative in the prestigious Dallas Cup an international youth tournament including teams from Man Utd and Real Madrid.
This will be Davids third visit to the Don Valley last season he reffed the Millers 3-1 victory over Chester City, with Ellison scoring for Chester, and the 1-2 defeat to Shrewsbury Town, when Sharpes attempted clearance from Ashton's low cross was sliced past Andy Warrington to give Shrewsbury the 3 points.
In the 2008/2009 season he took charge of 23 games, producing 39 yellows and just 1 red card.
Running the lines will be Ian Dudley (Nottinghamshire) along with Stephen Smith (Co. Durham)
