Steve was promoted to the National list of referees in 2006.
Amongst some of the games he has been involved in are the 2006 FA Vase Final in which he assisted, and the 2007 Four Nations Semi-Pro Tournament held in Inverness, when he was refereeing.
This will be Steve's second visit to the Don Valley, he reffed last season's basement battle match with Bournemouth . A first half left-foot volley from the edge of the 18-yard box by Mark Hudson settling the affair.
Bournemouth's chance of a fight back were scuppered when Danny Holland was sent off in the 68th minute after collecting two yellow cards in the space of just three minutes.
Last season Steve refereed 29 games giving, 70 Yellow, and 5 Red cards.
