Jarnail reached the National List of assistant referees in 2000 and was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2004.

Last Season Singh was in charge of the Millers F.A. Cup match at Aldershot when Micky Cummins put the Millers into the lead, which was cancelled out by an injury-time penalty from John Grant earning Aldershot a replay. Later in the season Singh refereed the Millers home game with Notts County. Mark Hudson and the inform Reuben Ried secured the points for the Millers in the 2-1 victory.
This season Jarnail has been in charge of 17 Games and has issued 67 Yellows but has yet to show a Red card.
