Overall, in 32 games this season he has handed out 90 yellow cards with 38 of them going to home team players and 52 to away team players.
To add to that there have been four red cards and all to away team players. He sent off Grimsby's Gary Jones in a 2-0 defeat at Peterborough and then ended Farsley Celtic's chances of a cup upset in a replay at Franchise when he sent off both Simeon Bambrook and Roy Stamer.
Thorpe has been on the national referee's list since 2002 and has since officiated over 150 games, but only been in charge of the Millers twice, First time in a 3-0 defeat at Reading in 2003 and earlier this season in the 3-2 win at Leyton Orient back in September..
Thorpes will be assisted by WayneA McIntosh (Lincolnshire) and Guy Stretton (Leicestershire) while the fourth official will be Alan Parker from Derbyshire.
