On April 14 1996, Rotherham United made their first ever trip to Wembley stadium to take on Shrewsbury Town in the Auto Windscreens Shield, in 2007 we looked back at that day. |

11 years may seem a strange anniversary. In truth, we should have done it the year before, but with Wembley reopened and looking splendid we thought we would pay tribute at a later date. Two goals by Nigel Jemson gave Rotherham their first major trophy in the 2-1 success over the Shrews and only the double promotions under Ronnie Moore has offered any competition to that day in terms of joy and ecstasy and of course success on the pitch! Here at MAD we have an in depth feature on that day as alot of you will have come across, what it meant to the fans, the players involved and the aftermath of the win all for your enjoyment, memories and nostalgia.
Features are available to re-live 1996 from our Wembley menu on the navigator page. The return 2010! And as the Millers this year returned to the capital after their 14 year absence to play Dagenham & Redbridge in the Coca-Cola League Two Play-off final, MillersMAD has vamped up it's Wembley feature for you to continue to look back at the memories from both occasions in pictures. Whether you're taking a look back after a while, or this is your first visit to the section, enjoy! CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE |
