Mick reached the National List of assistant referees in 2000 and was promoted to the referees' list in 2004.
His last game in charge of the Millers was last season, when a 2-1 victory at Rochdale extended the Millers unbeaten league run to seven games with a victory more comfortable than the score line might suggest, to put something of a dent in the home side's automatic promotion hopes.
