"My last penalty save was for Doncaster Rovers in the Conference semi-final against Chester in 2003, so it was fantastic to finally keep one out. I was at full stretch but I must admit the ball came at me at a nice height."
"We don't practice penalty saving and perhaps it's time we did, but sometimes you can read too much into things. You can practice and practice but at the end of the day it's one against one."
"I try to look at the taker's body language. If he's running straight at you then you tend to stand. You also study the position where he puts the ball. Sometimes it's pot luck but I'd like to think I go the right way most times."
"You can also try and put the taker off, for instance by feinting to dive a certain way. I did that with Sean McAllister against Wednesday in the last round, even though I knew I could have gone the other way! I do look in the taker's eyes to see if they're nervous. To be honest I'd rather be in the goal, I once took a penalty for York in the LDV Trophy and missed!"
Andy praised the defense as a whole; "The lads in front of me were magnificent, particularly Nick Fenton and Ian Sharps. They were heading it and getting blocks in and there were some lastditch tackles. That's why I had only one serious save to make in the game."
"We've looked solid defensively in the five games we've played and that shows in the results. Now we have to take it on. We've a few hard ones coming up with Brentford, Chesterfield and Rochdale. Make no mistake, September is going to be a tough month."
"We might have had a couple of cup wins but we're only three games into the thing that matters most, and that's the league."
