Richie scoring against Southampton
fter an extended run in the team without success, striker Richie Barker has been allowed to leave Millmoor on a free transfer to Mansfield Town. Paul Warne has also made the short move south but on a months loan with a view to a permanant deal.

Barker has spent almost 4 years at Millmoor and although has never threatened the leading scorers table, he has scored some memorable goals for us. The diving header against Southampton in the cup, and that 90th minute goal at the sty to give the Millers victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Warney - also off to the Stags
Paul Warne, will join the Stags on Friday, and will be hoping to take his reserve form with him, Warney has been scoring freely for the 2nd team but is unable to break through with Butler coming back and Junior now staying for a further spell.

Breaking news from Chesterfield is that we have signed Jamal Campbell-Ryce on a permanant contract.

The Spirtites were looking to sign the winger on a season long loan after the 21 year old had spent the last 3 months on loan there, but it is looking as if Ronnie has stolen the youngster from underneath Chesterfield boss Roy McFarland's nose.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce
A statement on the Chesterfield official site has more or less confirmed he has signed for us. "Despite speculation that the pacey winger was poised to sign for the Spireites on a season long loan, the offer of a permanent contract with the Millers seems to have proved too good to turn down. After protracted discussions with Rotherham he is expected to conclude the deal Thursday night or Friday."

Millers boss Ronnie Moore has also been out tonight looking at another player, which is thought to be Liverpool's Richie Partridge who has played in Liverpool's 1-1 draw at Leeds tonight.

MillersMad would like to thank Richie Barker for his efforts while at the club, while many have got on his back for lack of ability, nobody can fault his effort!

Best of luck with your new club.
