£30,000 is ludicrous!!

The club have released this short piece in relation to the figure doing the rounds down south in the Southend press, in an attempt to quash the rumours. Taken from the official site, it reads:

"The long running Jamal Campbell-Ryce affair with Southend United was settled last week and we have signed confidentiality papers which prevent us from revealing the exact figure.

A lot have been bandied about but not too much notice should be taken of them. We will never be able to reveal the exact figure but we are very happy with the outcome. The figure of £30,000 is absolutely ludicrous."
