The towering defender is in line to make his debut on Saturday against Crewe, with Claude Davis and captain Craig Morgan missing through suspension.
And the Bournemouth loanee explained why he chose to move north for a spell in South Yorkshire.
He told themillers.co.uk: “One of the reasons for signing was the managers success. He’s been successful throughout his career and I just want to be around successful people because it’s only going to benefit me. He seems really straight forward, and as a footballer that’s all you want, honesty. I’ve seen how he is in interviews and there’s just something that drew me towards him, and I can see it’s going to be a successful four or five months while Steve Evans is here.
“Once I knew of the interest, I knew a couple of people down here and it’s an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. It’s a tight bunch of players with some talented footballers in there and the league table doesn’t lie. We’re in a play-off position and I’m hopeful I can come in and improve the team in some way,”
He added: "If you look at my career I’ve had some bad injuries, long ones as well but whenever I’ve been fit I’ve been playing well. I’ve got a few months of the season left now and I just hope it can be a success while I’m at Rotherham.”
