The end of the 2-0 defeat at Darlington resulted in the unimaginable - Ronnie out chants.. But 27 year old Harrison says its the players thats let the gaffer down and they should take the flak.
"Every manager is their own man and they have their own ideas about the way things should be done, but the bottom line is that the buck stops with us,"
"The manager can only pick a team he thinks is going to win. He can't do things for us on the pitch. We let him down and the fans down last Saturday. The sort of things we heard from the fans are always going to happen in football but the players know we've not been good enough in some games. It is only us who can turn it around. No-one else." he added.
Danny looked ahead to tomorrows game at Lincoln adter being bouyed by Tuesday nights victory over Dagenham; "We have to be putting the lower sides to bed now. Lincoln are the sort of team we need to be beating but to be honest we need to be beating all the teams if we want to go up automatic."
"After the Darlington match, we were looking around at each other scratching our heads. We all know it was nowhere near good enough. They have only scored two goals in a match four times this season and two of them were against us. We'd had two good days training and a game plan but we never even took a tiny bit of it onto the pitch with us."
"Against most of the clubs, we are the superior in terms of resources but I don't think that comes into it. Darlington worked their socks off. They had a plan and it worked for them. They imposed themselves on us and were better than us."
