Breck told the Star he was suprised to see Moore go: "It was a hell of a shock at the time, but nothing surprises me any more in football.
"I was on Ronnie's stag do at the weekend, so it came at a bad time really."
Moore left the Millmoor managers chair in 2005 after guiding the club to two successive promotions during his tenure and paid the price as Rovers failed to make the League One play-offs on the final day.
Breckin added: "Ronnie will take it on the chin and be back soon - that's football."
