The 21 year old has just returned from a loan at Scunthorpe under former boss Mark Robins, and made 3 appearances for the Iron.
However, in a honest interview in the Star, Brindley admits he just wants to play football; “The most important thing for me, I feel, is playing regular football. That’s the reason I went on loan, to play week in, week out."
“To be the fair, the Gaffer gave me the opportunity to play against Bournemouth, and we’ll see what happens this month. Obviously, it’s very important that I’m playing games because once I’ve got momentum going and I’m playing regular football I feel like I’ve got potential to really push on. My first priority it to be here. I’d like to be playing football in the Championship."
“If I can’t get in the side and have to go back out on loan then I will do so. I’m very eager to be playing my football now.”
Brindley looked back on his spell with Scunny “I really enjoyed it there, The manager gave me the opportunity to do what I’m good at, getting forward and creating chances, and I think that’s helped me massively over the past month."
There was rumour that Scunthorpe had made a bid for Brindley, but nothing has been confirmed by either club.
