Steve went on: "Results like the Leeds one were fantastic for everyone but I didn't feel too happy. I want to be out there playing and celebrating with everyone. It's not the same when you're sat in the stand watching. I feel sick sometimes but it just makes you want to get back that little bit more.
"I suppose it's a better feeling coming back to a winning team than a losing team, so I can't complain.
"I know my own body. People say you should be back for this or that time but I'm going to be back when I want to be back and I'm 100 per cent fit. "It's my career and I don't want to mess it up."
Brogan is remaining level headed after fearing he wouldn't play again in a Millers jersey.."At the moment everything is going to plan and my leg has healed. It's just a matter of getting fit.
"I've still got a bit of a limp when I run and I need to get rid of that and kick a ball as much as possible to get back into it. I've been kicking the ball the last couple of weeks, which has been great, and stepping up my running to three-quarters and full pace, which has been really good for me."
Brogan had a shock in his last meeting with his surgeon.."I couldn't believe when I heard I might not play again, and it knocked me back a bit. I'm glad the surgeon didn't tell me at the start or it would have put me down in the dumps.
"It will be nice to get back playing and prove his thoughts wrong. It will be a great feeling and I can't wait for it. Hopefully in the new year I can pull that Millers shirt back on."
