Broughton signed for the Millers last season after a months loan which was extended to the end of the season.
He scored nine goals which included strikes against Southampton, Leeds United and Leicester City in the Millers cup runs earning him a new one year contract at the end of the season.
This season since the arrival of Adam Le Fondre and Tom Pope he has found first team opportunities limited, with six appearances, scoring three goals.
