Defender Davis left the Sussex side to team up with former gaffer Steve Evans mid-way through last season, and he explains to todays Advertiser how he feels about his return.
“I know I will get a good reception from the fans because I did well there and helped get them up, and when I left I didn't leave in a bad manner. Crawley couldn't pay my wages but it wasn't just a choice about money, I also had to think about family (living in Sheffield).
“I spoke to the manager Richie Barker and he wanted me to stay but the circumstances were that I had to move on. I know it will be good going back to Crawley. I enjoy playing there."
Big Claude added: “Rotherham has years of tradition and legacy behind it and with the new stadium it is moving forward but on the pitch I don't think there is much to compare between the teams and I think the team that grabs the first goal wins the game tomorrow.”
