The Millers are winless in five league games and now have to do without Mills who has struggled for several weeks with stomach muscle and groin problems, and will go under the knife next week.

Boss Mark Robins has vowed to soldier on without his captain ahead of tomorrow's game at Shrewsbury Town, and explained to the Advertiser: "I have got Danny Harrison back after suspension and Peter Holmes has come in to the reckoning so we're OK-as long as we don't pick up any other injuries.

"We're good enough and we have the bodies. It would be nice to bring in someone but it would be a case of getting the right player."

"The players have worked hard this week after the lay-off, which gave them the chance to recharge the batteries but now we want to kick on. We didn't take enough points last month but we're not harping back, we're pushing forwards.

"It's another game this weekend but you don't look at form you just look at the game ahead. We want to win every game and we know it'll be a tough one, but hopefully it will be equally tough for them."
