"We played some excellent stuff at times - probably the best of the season," said the Millers manager to todays Star.
"In the last two games we have got out of the blocks quickly and, while I don't want to make excuses, the six weeks off must have had some effect.
"It seems they have got the cobwebs off and everything is coming back. Yes, we gave the ball away cheaply at times but there was some really good football in there.
"It's about getting some consistency into our game and let's hope we can carry on from these last two games because we have got ourselves right back into the frame."
