It is alleged that the incident took place at a property in Derby on July 1st this year, Mills did not give a plea and only spoke to confirm his name and address in court.
Meanwhile, the Millers boss Alan Knill gave the clubs site www.themillers.co.uk a statement this afternoon playing down the seriousness of the court appearance.
"After speaking to Pablo and his representatives, as far as we are aware the matter is a domestic problem involving himself and his partner. Pablo assures us that there is really very little to answer to.
"In the meantime we will continue to support Pablo in whatever way he needs. It is something that has been hanging over him since he came into this club and it hasn't affected his performances and we have no reason to think it will do in the future.
"As far as we are concerned he will be playing in the team again on Saturday as he is very much part and parcel of the team." Knill said.
