Speaking in the Star, Ryan Cresswell talks about following the Millers as a youth and his hopes he can play like his teen idols.
"My favourites were Chris Swailes and Martin McIntosh, I used to think they were excellent but there was Alan Lee as well, he scored plenty of goals." he said.
From watching the lads from the Tivoli end 10 years ago to looking set to lead the team out as captain on Saturday, Ryan say's; "I see it as coming back home in a way, I got the interest from Rotherham, met Ronnie Moore and knew straightaway afterwards that I wanted to sign and play for the club."
"I would love to be captain if asked, I think I have enough experience to lead the team and, if I get it, I would consider it an honour and take it in my stride. If not, then the aim is the same - to get Rotherham United out of League Two as quickly as possible."
"There are expectations but I'm happy with that. You simply have to take them on board and get on with it." he added.
