The injured skipper is set to make himself available for next weeks clash with Bury, and boss Ronnie Moore has a selection headache with Johnny Mullins and Nick Fenton, skippering the side, currently playing in the centre half positions.
"It's not just about Mullins. The pressure is on Fenton as well," said Moore to todays Tiser.
"Cresswell will come back in but both of them have been playing well and it's just a matter of who drops out. It may be that Cresswell may be a week away from full fitness by the time Danny Coid comes towards the end of his loan spell at right-back so it might be that Cresswell comes in and plays with Fenners and Johnny drops back to right-back.
"But he's enjoying himself at centre-half and he looks a better player there. It gives me a little problem but I would rather have that problem than having a shortage of people to play there."
