Davis is struggling with a dead leg and Frecklington, who missed the 1-0 defeat at Gillingham on Easter Monday, is battling to recover after feeling unwell with a virus.
Gaffer Steve Evans told Radio Sheffield as he previewed the clash: "We left Gillingham with some real pride in our performance on Monday.
"Morecambe have got good players and players who can score goals. They've taken points off all the teams near the top of the table.
"We've got six games left to determine whether we get automatic promotion. All the teams in the top seven have got to play each other and I expect it to go to the last day."
There was some positive news yesterday, as Mark Bradley came through the reserves 5-0 win over Tranmere unscathed after his spell on the sidelines with a foot injury.
