Davis told Radio Stoke that his players need to be positive but guard against the Millers attack too.
"There's not much atmosphere at the Don Valley, you have to make your own atmosphere on the pitch because it's a little bit distant for supporters. We've got to go there and be positive because our next two games are away, and there are teams around us fighting for the same thing that we are.
"Rotherham are dangerous, they're decent opponents with good players and a decent budget so we've got to be careful - they'll be looking for a good end to the season", he added.
