Well nothings confirmed, but todays Advertiser is reporting that the club will know today if their bid for a 12-acre brownfield site - rumoured to be the land where Guest and Chrimes once stood is successful..
Millers chairman Tony Stewart told the fans at the Millers Trust forum a fortnight ago that there was an important meeting last Monday which was to be about the cost of the land.
Tony Stewart as usual did'nt give too much away but he told todays Advertiser; "We had a good, long meeting in which we presented an offer to the managing director. Fingers crossed, it will be accepted and we can get on with the next stage of building a new home for Rotherham United."
"As I've said before, I have spent thousands of pounds to ensure this land is fit for the purpose. A lot of preparatory work needs to be done but I am confident we could be in the new stadium in the early part of 2012 if things go to plan."
"The usual yardstick is that you leave 12 months for planning and 12 months for the build."
The Millers have been looking around the borough for a suitable site for the last 18 months without joy, with this site only coming available in the last 2-3 months.
As usual, we'll bring any breaking news to you ASAP
