"He knew I was out of contract at Tranmere and he offered me a contract that I was happy to sign. There were a few other clubs who showed an interest but when I spoke to Alan in depth he told me what he aims were and in what direction the club is heading. He thought I could help in guiding the club in that direction as I know about this division having played for Tranmere last season." he added.
"To be fair to Alan, hes got high ambitions and expectations. He wants to get the ball down and play, he knows hes going to have a small squad and with the squad he's got he's hoping theyre capable to staying up in League One, even with the 10 point deduction." Facey told Radio Sheffield.
Speaking to the official site, "We have a good mixture of young enthusiastic young players who are willing to work hard and the older heads, that's a good blend with one or two more players to come in as well. I don't see any reason why we should struggle in the league."
"It's a great set up at the training ground - I played there a few years ago with the Huddersfield youth team - and I met there with the chairman who told me what the aim of the club is and I want to be part of that by helping the club to a successful season."
