The Skipper Richard Wood has been a regular in the team this season, making 26 appearances for the Millers this season so far and with that has activated a clause in his contract for his current deal to be extended for a further year.
The 35 year old told the clubs official website that he's hoping that he can be part of some more postive stories.
“I enjoy this stage of the season when there is something to play for and there is pressure in every game, It has been a strange season with covid and no fans. Defying the odds is something we thrive on. Personally for me, I want to make more memories for me and my family."
“Staying up this season would be up there with the Wembley goals and the two promotions I’ve had. I want to add another memory this year by helping the team stay up.” he added.
Meanwhile, young Joshua Kayode has signed a new deal to keep him with the club until the summer of 2024

Speaking to the club Ifollow service, JJ said; "I'm excited to see what the future holds for me, It's a big committment, but I want to be here and want to progress here."
Having yet to make an appearance for the Millers, the Republic of Ireland u21 has spend time out on loan with Chesterfield, Gateshead and Carlisle.
All of these are learning journey's the 20 year old says; "As young players sometimes when your sent out on loan you think that the club don't want you. But that isnt the case, they just want you to gain experience, which I'm happy to get."
"I've gone from playing in youth teams and reserve games to playing against men. These men are playing for thier wages and 3 points, they're playing to feed theiir families so its totally different. I'm enjoying it and I hope I can push on here."
