With nearly 1000 season tickets sold so far, the new Millers board are encouraged with sales so far after just a week after the season ticket prices were announced.
Fans have been allowed to visit Don Valley to take a look around before they purchase thier tickets, and most have come back happy.
"The majority of supporters have gone to Don Valley with doubts but come back excited. The initial reaction has been good and the season tickets have been whizzing out."
"We sold 800 in three days and we're at 965 now, which includes reservations. That is already about half the total we sold last year" a club spokesman told the Advertiser.
"We need the fans to buy into what we are doing and from what I hear about the season tickets sales, they are doing that." he said.
"The staff at Don Valley have bent over backwards to accomodate us and the set-up there is what we need. To go forward, this club need, good facilities and assets and we are now on the road to getting them, The facilities for supporters at Don Valley are good and the players will be able to get ready ir proper changing rooms instead of portakabins, Ifs a new chapter for the club and ifs something to look forward to." he added.
Robins told the 'Tiser that the Millers had a new groundsman and he would be working on the DVS pitch to bring it upto standard.
"The playing surface isn't as good as I want, but we're working on that, We've been spoilt by the playing surface at Millmoor these last few years. Our new groundsman, Jim Davidson, is going to Don Valley to have a look. He's got the same name as the comic but he's not as funny!" he hadded.
