Having used DVS for nearly 20 years, it would be harsh on them should the Millers come in and have first choice. However where would this stand with the Football League?
Swire went on to admit that Sheffield International Venues had'nt told the Eagles about the possibility of the Millers also using DVS; "We had heard whispers that they (Rotherham United) had been talking to SIV but we weren't told officially."
With the Eagles doing well thier season could be extended with their play-offs, but Swire is hopeful that things can be worked out; "We have fixed dates - they may be moved for Sky TV but we wouldn't want to be moving games for other things."
"Their (Rotherham's) fixtures will start in August so there will be potentially a two or three week overlap, but maybe only a couple of games, we have to wait and see. Provided the stadium can house both games in a weekend there shouldn't be a problem. Sire added.
He said: "It will work but how good it will work we'll see. We have nowhere else to go. SIV are very positive with us and we have to try and help. We have been there ourselves when we had to go to Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Chesterfield because we didn't have a ground. Eagles coach Mark Aston said
"If it can work, it will work." he added.
