With a couple of lingering injury doubts, Evans said he may also make a couple of tactical switches.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We'll probably freshen the side for this game because we put in a huge amount of effort against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday. All I've heard since the Wednesday game is how poor they were. Well, I thought we were really good and we're due some credit.
"Preston are a fantastic club with proud traditions and I saw them on Monday night. You could see what that win meant.
"They've signed some very good players and Simon Grayson knows what it takes to get out of this division."
