The Millers are shifting tickets well for their Capital One Cup second round tie at Villa Park next Wednesday night, and Steve says he's expecting his players to face some big names.
Evans told the Advertiser: “I will be very surprised if Paul Lambert doesn't put out his strongest side. He'll see this as a competition Villa can do well in. He'll remember that Bradford tie (last season) and won't want to run the risk of going out to another lower league club.
“Also, Villa have been playing well and because of the international break, they don't have a game the following weekend. He'll want his players to continue that form and he'll want to get the job done in an hour.”
He added: “Villa are a good side. I saw them score five against Crewe during pre-season and it could have been 20 and Benteke and Agbonlahor were great at Chelsea (on Wednesday).
“But I wouldn't be going to Villa Park if I didn't think we could do well and we won't be going there to sit and put half a dozen men behind the ball. We'll play the right way, have a go and see where it gets us."
