Evans was at Bootham Crescent as his stadium ban was set to continue with the Millers facing Accrington, only to find out his sides game was called off late.
The Millers gaffer has already seen his team beaten by the Minstermen in the JPT this season, so has a good idea of how they will set up.
He told the Star: “Their manager Gary Mills has done exceptionally well there and after the win at Aldershot last week, he said he fancied them to tilt at another promotion.
“I saw what they did to Fleetwood in the first 45 minutes. Fleetwood probably got a talking-to at half-time, they got a deflected goal and it was different after that, it did knock York’s enthusiasm."
Evans may make a couple of changes to his side for tomorrows trip, despite naming what would have been an unchanged team in midweek from the 3-1 win againast Oxford.
The Millers have sold their allocation of 1,600 and fans have been warned they are likely to not get in if they travel ticketless.
