With the majority of his targets now signed and sealed, Steve Evans is still on the hunt for a striker amongst others, but ahead of next weeks return to pre-season training the gaffer is taking a holiday away, but as always is keeping tabs on events.
"In respect of players coming in. The message is clear from me, unless I get who I want at the right terms for Rotherham United then we will wait,"
''I am really hopeful we can secure a young striker, a youngster I rate very highly, on a season long loan. His manager agrees it would possibly be good for his development but as I said that will be around mid-July before we know. In an ideal world we would have bought him but I got the message that he is not for sale loud and clear." Evans told themillers.co.uk
''There is two other players that I would very much like to add to what we have and this is separate from two lads who will try and get themselves a contract at Championship level, I am watching those developments very closely."
''Our recruitment this summer has been excellent to say the least but I know more than anyone there is a bit more work to be done if we are to have in place the squad that I believe can really challenge for promotion."
''The staff and myself will be working over the weekend to ensure everything is ready for the lads reporting back on Monday. We have a talented squad in place so now we need to get them fit, organised, disciplined and very focused on the job we are all here to do." he added.
