Today he spoke to www.themillers.co.uk as he resumed work at Hooton Lodge. He said: “I felt it a bit in the game against Northampton after having a fitness test that morning and felt it a little bit but not as much. But then in the Chesterfield game it was at its worst and that was my last bit of action.
"I had a scan that revealed that I needed to have the cartilage removed. That was done two weeks ago and I'm starting training again today. I'm seeing the specialist tomorrow when I hope I will get the all-clear.
"I've been watching all the games, wishing I was out there. The lads have played well apart from the occasional lack of concentration. Looking ahead to Sunday at Port Vale there's no reason why we can't get three points."
The lads have another rest day tomorrow ahead of their preparation for the Vale Park clash. As usual we'll have all the team news in the coming days along with pre and post match reactions over the weekend.
