While it's come along in unfortunate circumstances, with Dale Tonge suffering what has turned out to be a stress fracture in his foot, sustained in training, and likely to keep him sidelined for another 3 or 4 weeks.
Mark Lynch now has the opportunity of a decent run in the team. The right-back is full of sympathy for his team mate, but he knows that he must make the most of his call up.
Mark speaking to The Star said: "It is a shame for Dale. The same happened to me last season when I got injured and Dale stepped in and did the job.
"Everyone is trying to get in the team and I am going to give my all to keep my place.
"It is nice be back in the team as it has been while but I've had a lot of training and a few reserve matches behind me so I am feeling good again."
