Cocky told the Star; "If both teams play to their potential, you would expect Sheffield Wednesday to progress, I think both teams would rather play on a Tuesday or Wednesday rather than on a Thursday, with massive games for us both at the weekend, Wednesday against Wolves and us at home to Peterborough."
Good time to play Wednesday - Coughlan
Cocky told the Star; "If both teams play to their potential, you would expect Sheffield Wednesday to progress, I think both teams would rather play on a Tuesday or Wednesday rather than on a Thursday, with massive games for us both at the weekend, Wednesday against Wolves and us at home to Peterborough."
"It might not be a bad time to play Wednesday; they've gone several games without a victory and they're leaking goals, but equally they have the players who can change that for them. I'm sure Wednesday will look forward to the game and will look on it as a springboard to start their season, with a view to then getting a good result against Wolves."
"The tie is a nice draw for both clubs, financially for Rotherham and football-wise for Wednesday. Both clubs, both sets of players, will be looking forward to a decent contest." he added.
After a few shocks in the competition already this week, Coughlan did'nt write our chances off; "Cup football always produces a few shocks. A lot of Championship teams have gone out this week. That said, I don't think those Championship teams would see the Cup as their priority, and changes can be made for the competition. Maybe Wednesday will make changes tonight; if they do, I'll know the personnel."
