Grabban grabbed two goals in the last home game with Dagenham in a 3-1 win and is adjusting to life with a new partner in Alex Revell.
Speaking to the Advertiser, he said: “That’s four for the season now for me. I think I’ve made a good start and hopefully there’s more goals to come.
“I don’t really believe in setting myself targets, I just take things a game at a time and try to crack on. It’s important now that Alfie has gone that we all step up to the plate. You don’t need someone in the side who gets 25 goals a season if three or four players get ten or more.”
23-year-old Grabban says that although his strike partner has changed in recent matches, he is still capable of playing to his strengths and bagging his first senior hattrick. He added: “I’ve never got a hat-trick as a professional, and it would have been nice to have got one on Saturday but it just wasn’t to be. I was really running around chasing it but I didn’t really get another chance.”
