Bringing the lads in

As Alan Knill's men look to build on last weekends results and secure their league one safety for next year, Knill took the unusal step of cancelling a planned day off for the squad and bringing them in.

He told todays Rotherham star, "They deserved two days off but I decided I wanted them in on Wednesday so we could start dripping information into them, We give them information on forthcoming opponents. I had a long journey last week to Swansea to check on them and it was well worth getting back around 2am for what was gleaned from it. I was able to drip in information and they were given a bit more than usual on Swansea. It's up to the players to use it and act on it and they did so superbly. You can give too much but I hope that we get the balance right."

Should be fit

Knill has a near full strength squad to choose from, Michael Boulding and Andy Monkhouse back available after illness last week, Scott Minto however continues to be on the treatment table with an achilles problem and Michael Keane continues his 5 match ban.

Lee Williamson and Gregor Robertson both recieved knocks during the win at Swansea on Monday, but both are expected to be fit to face the Iron.

Laws

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws has a couple of injury problems, however with Scunny safe as damn it, this should not be such a headache to Laws.

The Irons defensive duo of Steve Foster and Marcus Williams will sit out the game with injuries picked up in thier home defeat to Swindon, "We'll have to see how they both are tomorrow, but I would certainly say they are doubtful for Saturday's game, There is no point in us taking risks at this stage of the season." Laws told todays Scunthorpe Telegraph.
