The Valley Parade pitch has been covered with sheeting to try and beat the biting frost, but it's likely that an 11.30am Saturday pitch inspection will take place.

Elsewhere Mark Bower has recovered from illness and should be fine to return but Alex Rhodes is missing with a hamstring problem. Chilean Striker Willy Topp may figure in the squad after finally receiving a work permit in a deal which has dragged out for the past couple of months, but is likely to start amongst the substitutes.

Ex-Wednesday man Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu is one of the familiar names to contend with for skipper Graham Coughlan and Ian Sharps.
