The Millers face a relative unknown to them when Morecambe visit Millmoor tomorrow. The two teams have only ever met twice before, with Morecambe knocking the Millers out of the FA Cup back in 1979 after a reply.
Mark Robins will be looking to his team to continue the better performance they showed against Brentford, especially during the second half after so very nearly throwing a 3 goal lead against Mansfield in the last league game at Millmoor. With only 1 victory from the last 6 games, another home win is a must.
Robbo has had the league newcomers watched and with the Shrimpers settling into League two life with ease, expects a tough game; "I watched that play-off final and Morecambe fully deserved their win, They had a good side last season and they've added to it since then. It will be another hard one for us." he told the Advertiser.
Robins could have Mark Hudson back for his league debut after missing the opening to the season with injury, whilst Marc Joseph is also fit after a kidney infection. Liam King will take his place on the bench.
Our visitors have Damien Allen fit after limping off against Bradford last weekend and captain Jim Bentley will again continue after coming back from injury in the same encounter, which the Shrimpers won 2-1.
Carl Baker, Joe Lewis and Garry Thompson have all been passed fit too.
