Head2Head and early team news- Bradford (a)

Last updated : 24 August 2006 By Millersmad Staff
As the lads trained this morning at Hooton Lodge, only Colin Murdock was absent from the full session. Midfielder Justin Cochrane has returned from injury but will be a fair way off contention at the moment.

Cochrane, along with Steve Brogan, should turn out for the reserves against Sheffield United early next week.

Williamson to return..
Saturday should see Alan knill bring back the 11 that started against Scunthorpe last week with Scoot Wiseman and Martin Woods dropping to the bench, as Lee Williamson and Michael Keane return. David Worrell is the only slight doubt after having stitches in his foot at half time against Oldham on Tuesday but he's likely to be passed fit.

Bradford have had a good start despite being knocked out of the Carling Cup at Carlisle on penalties, they currently sit third on nine points. David Graham may be recalled to the side by Colin Tood after he was cup-tied by Sheffield Wednesday, he'll battle it out with Eddie Johnson to partner veteran Dean Windass in attack. On loan winger Lee Holmes will look to continue his impressive start to the season.

Todd insists heads will be up for our visit at the weekend and although disappointed at going out of the cup his side will look to repeat their 3-0 win at Crewe last week.

He said: "Naturally we're all disappointed but I've got no criticism. I've told the players that they have once again given a very good account of themselves and positives are there for everyone to see.

"We have got to look at the manner of our performance and there was no real difference to the Crewe game other than we probably had a bit more penetration then."

Opponents ‘ones to watch'

Lee Holmes – tricky winger looking impressive so far this campaign.

Dean Windass – still scoring goals for fun at this level.

The full Head2Head will appear on site later.
