The Millers are left reeling from Saturday's local derby at Oakwell, where Trevor Kettle stole the show as they will be missing Lee Williamson, Deon Burton and Colin Murdock, who it as since been confirmed received a straight red card following the full time whistle.
Mick Harford will also be without Michael Keane as he continues his rehab from an operation so the under pressure Millers boss is once again likely to turn to youth as he did in the first round penalty shootout win against Accrington Stanley and Will Hoskins, Marc Newsham and Stephen Brogan will all be pushing for a starting spot.
On loan Paul Evans is likely to get another start and Phil Gilchrist will replace the suspended Murdock.
Macclesfield, who despite making the play offs in League 2 last season are struggling this term and also have plenty of selection woes. Mark Bailey, Martin Bullock, Ian Brightwell and Neil McKenzie are all big doubts ahead of the round two clash. Wayne Cropper is definitely out but Kevin Sandwith should have recovered from an ankle knock.
The good news for the Millers is that Trevor Kettle will be nowhere near Millmoor on Tuesday and instead will officiate Boston's second round tie against Kidderminster on Wednesday. Andy Hall will be the man in the middle tomorrow.
