Stewart Talbot (2) and Alan Lee were on the score sheet when the Millers last visited Brentford in October 2000 during the famous promotion season and Gary Martindale, Danny Hudson and Darren Garner all netted in a 3-0 win in September 1998.
However, Rotherham may not find it so easy this time round as Brentford have been amongst the pace setters so far this season and they currently sit fourth in the league although a victory for the Millers of two goals or more would see them climb above the Bees. Rotherham will have to do without Phil Gilchrist, who has avoided surgery on his shoulder but is still some way from fitness and Andy Monkhouse, who is still recovering from his long term injury. Scott Minto remains a doubt with a damaged achilles.

Lee Williamson will sit out the next fortnight as he needs an operation to remove loose cartledge from his nose after he broke it against Nottingham Forest,he had been admitted to hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties but he is now out. Gary Montgomery is expected to retain his place in goal after he replaced the error stricken Neil Cutler at Hartlepool.
Meanwhile, Brentford will have to do without Ricky Newman who is still recovering from knee surgery but Eddie Hutchinson and Kevin O’Connor are hoping to be in the frame for a start after they missed the game at Walsall in midweek. Scott Fitzgerald has been told that he can find another club after Martin Allen informed the former Watford man that he had no future at Brentford following the good form of their other strikers.
