The 24- year-old striker signed a one year deal with the Millers and Scotty say's his attitude is spot on.
“He signed for a lot of money at Brighton but things didn’t work out,” Scott told today's advertiser.
"I spoke to Gus Poyet about the lad’s character and he’s shown that by wanting to go out on loan at Stevenage and Bury and he did well."
Meanwhile Scott rates fellow new signing Luke Foster who also signed a one year deal this week.
“He’s got all the right attributes and, of course, he’s a local lad and he’s a leader. There are still one or two players I’m looking at and there may be developments in the next few weeks.”
