Contract talks had originally been planned for Christmas if the young striker did well, well he's done more than that and shot himself into the league's top scorers and the Millers out of the relegation places despite being 10 points down.
Speaking today to Radio Sheffield, Knilly told that contract talks had opened with the 21 year old; "We're at early stages in the talks, we've mentioned it but not talked money as yet. But its positive I think."
Asked if Knill was in a good position to offer Hoskins a good deal, "I think so, I've spoke with the board and it all depends on what a good deal is in Will's and his agent's eyes." he replied.
"If think as well as Will is 21 so he's here until he's 24. He can't exactly at the end of his contract walk out of the door, if someone's going to take him they'd have to pay a fair bit of money at a tribunal to get him."
"I don't think Will wants to leave Rotherham." Knill concluded.
Lets hope not!!
