"I'm a 110 per cent man. I get around the pitch and I'm box to box but I want to get a lot more goals than I have been getting. I've been scoring four or five a season but I want to be on eight or more this time and have a push at it" Hudson told the Advertiser.
"As a midfielder, you always aim for ten a season. With the positions I get into maybe I can do better than I have been doing. We have Danny Harrison in midfield alongside me. He's more of a sitter, so that can hopefully give me licence to get in the penalty box and find the net more."
The much maligned League Two style of play means that Hudson could struggle to stamp his mark.
"I know this league can be tough," he said. "You have to win the battle first and get the second balls and then hopefully my passing ability can come into the game.
"It is a hard league and it won't be pretty sometimes. That makes it harder for me but I'm up for it and hopefully that little bit of quality I can bring to the team can open up doors for the strikers."
