Earlier today boss Evans said he was set to release the names of the players told they could leave the club, and in the last few moments that has been confirmed.
Defender Nicky Hunt has been told he can leave whilst former skipper Sharps, winger Ainsworth and target man Odejayi, who also all have a year left on their contracts, have been made available for transfer.
They join midfielder Schofield on the transfer list, who didn't figure in a single game last season and spent time away on loan at Accrington before returning.
Sharps spent the second half of the season on loan at Burton, missing out in the play-off semi finals, whilst Ainsworth's season was hampered by injury and he was loaned out to relegated Aldershot.
Evans confirmed to themillers.co.uk: “What comes are difficult decisions when viewing our squad in its entirety and the options within it. We must consider the targets we’re aiming to recruit and when I looked at the big picture and after much consideration I have decided that the aforementioned players have to be made available for transfer with immediate effect.”
