The pair have took Boston United to promotion from the UniBond League Premier Division to the Blue Square North League.

Hurst combines his job with the Millers community team as Participation Officer, with being joint manager of Boston United along with Rob Scott.

Boston United came from behind to secure an extra-time play-off final victory over Bradford Park Avenue with 1400 Pilgrims there to celebrate the day.
The Millers connection was also represented on the field with ex-players Marc Newsham Boston's leading scorer for the season with 29 goals and Jamie Yates, Newsham scoring the opener in Boston's 1-2 win.

Hurst spoke to the Advertiser this week of the emotion felt at the end of a succsessful season, sayng:
"It was a fantastic day and an emotional one too"
"As the players and the supporters were celebrating, Rob and I took ourselves to one side just to have a quiet moment and to be honest I felt like bursting into tears. "I managed to hold myself together but that's the difference between managing and playing. As a boss, there's no release. The tension builds up inside you."

Hurst added: "We're building up a good CV," "I've made no secret of the fact that I would like to do football management full time but there's a lot of competition out there and lots of hard work to do before then. "We'll be meeting the chairman to work out a budget for next season and whether or not we can push on only time will tell. "Apart from getting promoted, we've won the Lincolnshire Cup and the Uni- Bond League Cup this season. Boston is a good club and we've had more than 2,000 at our last two home games, so the potential is there."
